Countries, neighbourhoods, schools are becoming more and more diverse with parents and children coming from all paths of life. Currently, at least 23% of the Dutch population have a migration background and this number is expected to increase with various groups from Turkish, Moroccan, Indonesian, German, Surinamese, and Polish ethnic backgrounds and more. How children experience and navigate cultural differences, building and maintaining complex multicultural identities, and moving in and out of different cultural world views can be challenging but are necessary aspects of our current global multicultural communities.
